PK & DanseFolket is a Norwegian dance band from Møre og Romsdal started in 2001 by vocalist Per Kristian "PK" Støbakk. Støbakk had experience as a vocalist from the dance band Vikings between 1978 and 1982 and wanted to start a new dance band. Even before he had a band ready, he entered into a collaboration with Audun Tylden of the record company Tylden & Co. who promised him a record deal if he managed to put together a good dance band within a year.[citation needed] The process of putting the band together was filmed and later shown as a four-episode documentary on TV 2.
The band has released eleven albums, and has been nominated for the Spellemannprisen in the dance band category for Heng deg på, Bam bam bam, Slik ho er and Full Truck 2.
