His passion for the guitar began at age 7, receiving his first music lessons at the Ranchuelo Villa Clara House of Culture.
As a music enthusiast, he participated in small local groups until joining a children’s orchestra, which earned national recognition in Cuba.
In 1989, he began his studies for a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at the Félix Varela Higher Pedagogical Institute in Santa Clara, and studied Spanish guitar at the same conservatory.
With advanced studies completed and residing in the provincial capital, he began playing in small groups at a professional level, also distinguishing himself as a concert guitarist.
After performing on various stages, he was invited to join the Mango Show Orchestra, with which he obtained a five-year contract performing in Spain.
Mango Show, an orchestra with European production support, specializes in national and international music concerts, playing at festivals, fairs, events, etc., in different towns and cities, thus traveling throughout Spain.
Having played a prominent role in the San Mateo festivities in Oviedo, Asturias, representing the vibrant flavor of Cuban music.
The experience gained in that orchestra served as a springboard for personal development. There, he explored the essence of different musical genres and the art of expressing them. This experience he now shares as a solo Spanish guitarist.
He has resided in Jávea, Alicante, since 2001, working diligently on various personal projects. Integrating his musical knowledge while remaining true to his Cuban roots, he dedicates himself to music education, blending his art with Mediterranean traditions and fostering a process of transculturation.
His mastery of the six-string guitar has resonated deeply with his audience, leading to performances in restaurants, event venues, parties, gatherings, and more.
Today he shares the stage with diverse national and international guests, offering a wide-ranging musical journey from Latin to Anglo-Saxon music, from classical to jazz, always infusing it with his signature Cuban style and touch.
